EXIMIOUS symposium
We are delighted to invite you to join us online for the seventh and final EXIMIOUS Symposium:
“Emerging contaminants: health risks associated with microplastics and indoor air quality”
on 31 October 2024 at 15:00 – 17:00 (CET).
Register online for what we hope will be an informative and interactive exchange!
This EXIMIOUS Symposium is open to all audiences and will ease into the topic of Emerging contaminants (EC), providing an introduction to the impact of air quality and EC exposure on human health, as well as how we assess the risks.
Our invited guest speakers Dr. Raymond Pieters (Utrecht University, the Netherlands), Prof. Xavier Basagaña (Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal)) and Dr. Hubert Dirven (The Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Norway), will present their latest research on the topic and will be available to answer questions during a dedicated time for Q&A following each of the three presentations.

EXIMIOUS is a research project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, that aims to deliver a new way of assessing the human exposome, i.e., the exposures to environmental factors that one experiences throughout life, and shed light on its association to immune-mediated diseases. As part of the EXIMIOUS project we periodically organise topical symposia (webinars) related to environmental and occupational exposures and measurements, exposure and immunity, and gene-immune-environment interactions.
